Model/Scorng/Analys-Manager
This position is in the Credit and Operational Risk Analytics team of Risk Architecture, providing support and back-up to senior analysts on highly visible projects including Loan Loss Reserves, Credit and Liquidity Stress Testing, and Cost of Credit analysis. The analyst will utilize, enhance and develop analytical models to address critical risk issues facing the firm. In addition to longer-run on-going projects, job entails working on critical one-off analyses for senior management and regulators. The typical project requires analyst to combine knowledge of existing risk measures, models, and data with an understanding of products and business objectives. Analyst works closely with colleagues in analytical teams, risk reporting, risk management, finance, model validation, IT, and accounting policy, and will support senior analysts in interactions with senior management, regulators, and internal and external audit staff.
·Master's degree or higher in analytical, quantitative field (math, physics, engineering, statistics, economics, finance)
·Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills, demonstrated through academic studies and/or prior work experiences
·Minimum of five years experience in the financial services industry
·Familiarity with risk measurement methodologies (e.g. economic capital, BASEL II) a plus
·Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with SAS or similar database/statistical software
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Strong ability to collaborate with colleagues across Risk, Finance, Technology, and the Businesses
·Ability to manage multiple competing and changing priorities as determined by senior management
·Ideal candidate will have a strong streak of intellectual curiosity, a serious interest in risk analysis, and will be comfortable with theoretical approaches to credit risk modeling while also appreciating the value of detail-oriented empirical research.
