FINANCIAL ADVISOR -Bilingual - Miami
Position Overview:
· This is a sales and relationship management position with primary responsibilities of servicing and expanding new and existing affluent investment customers.
· Fully commissioned individual who sells and markets financial instruments to the investment customers as well as providing the public with financial counseling, while adhering to highly professional and ethical standards as set forth by Citi Personal Wealth Management as well as other regulatory entities.
Principal Responsibilities
·Introduces customers to International Personal Banking (IPB) by demonstrating all distribution channels.
·Executes banking, brokerage, credit transactions and non-traditional actions to service accounts.
·Transforms service transactions into enhanced customer relationships.
Position Description::
·Manage the entire offshore investment relationship with affluent non-resident alien clients.
·Investment Advisory, Executes and Fulfills trades referred to Fixed Income securities (Bonds, Structure Notes) as per client request. Execute and fulfills trades referred to Managed Products, consistent with Asset Allocation completed by the customer.
Advises, Executes, & Fulfills
·Builds offshore business and deepens relationships through the execution of an effective sales process.
·Create and organize a sales plan designed to acquire new target clients - Generate leads and grow the business through active calling new potential customers.
·Assess customer needs including asset allocation, makes recommendations to meet all their financial needs.
·Solicits clients actively via telephone, mail, referrals, etc.
·Negotiates transactions ensuring Citigroup's profitability standards.
·Maximizes the number of accounts per customer by attracting new business from the clients.
·Sponsors client/prospect events to expand their awareness or knowledge.
·Interfaces with other business groups on sales lead opportunities.
·Meets acquisition, and portfolio goals.
·Ensures current and prospective customers have a consistent, superior experience.
Administrative and Compliance
·Responsible for overseeing other members of the Team: product and processes knowledge, sales practices, coaching.
·Complies with Citi Personal Wealth Management and regulatory policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of bank's and customer assets.
·Ensure Compliance with securities and banking regulations in the U.S. as well as Citigroup policies.
·Ensure that all trades are in compliance with the appropriate suitability requirements.
Skills and Abilities required
·NASD License Series 7, 63, L&H Required
·Master degree preferred
·7 yrs sales experience, including 5 years investment sales experience and experience in US.
·7 yrs branch or other sales experience against an offshore target market customer base (e.g. Private Banking, Citigold)
·Must possess new portfolio that can be transferred to IPB - (LATAM and/or Brazil portfolio)
·Superior sales/relationship building skills
·Strong investment sales experience with financial planning orientation.
·Superior interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
·In-depth knowledge offshore products and services
·Comprehensive knowledge of the economic trend, competition, events and their potential effect on customer's finance.
·Computer literate and advanced proficiency with Citibank's branch technology.
·Handling of difficult customers.
·Knowledge of compliance and control issues.
·Advanced English skills (verbal and written).
·Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese required
·Demonstrated ability to produce sales results, both acquisition and relationship growth, with targeted client.
·Maintain a current and proficient understanding of progressively complex products and services.
·Ability to prioritize multiple customer issues.
·Must be up to date on compliance matters.
